Trust

Trust can possibly be the hardest thing to gain back. Once you lose someone's trust it is near impossible to gain it back without going through great lengths. The good news today is that we don't have to put our trust in humans who will lose it easily. God calls us to put our trust in him. Proverbs 3:5 reads "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your understanding". In the natural (the flesh) it is easy for us to put our trust in ourselves or others. What I have come to find out is that people and even yourself will let you down. God has never changed he is forever the same and will NEVER let us down. So, why not place your trust in him.

Do you know how some teams and jobs have team-building exercises to help build trust amongst crewmates? Well, I challenge you this week to do a sort of team-building exercise with God. In a team, you must be on the same page. God wants a relationship with you; he wants you to run to him and bask in his presence. Now you have to want that as well. The challenge for this week is to draw closer to God. If you do not fill the desire to spend time with him then make that your prayer this week. Ask God to soften your heart and give you a hunger for his presence. I can't fathom how awesome it is to have a relationship with your heavenly father. A relationship with Jesus changes everything!
